Because of viewing multiple media products such as "The Newsroom" and analyzing various magazines, creating a magazine seems like it would be a challenging yet enjoyable experience. I like to take photographs, so stockpiling my magazine with various images would most likely be the most gratifying task for me. Also, designing the layout might be fun as well, but could also be difficult, especially when attempting to figure out new software. However, studying magazines and blog samples in class have heightened my skills and will prepare me to face this challenge if I do decide to make a magazine. Another test I may face is interviewing people, especially people I do not know. It is difficult for me to come up with certain ideas on the spot, so preparing my questions beforehand as well as doing practice interviews would make this task easier for me. I contacted a friend of mine and asked if he would like to be a model for my magazine. He said yes, and so we met up and discussed a time that would work for a photo shoot. Once we had established a time, we continued with the photography session until I had taken the images I needed. The final photo I used from this photo shoot, shown above, is displayed in the table of contents of my magazine. The original image is the smaller one directly below it, and the other images from this particular photo session are shown beneath this text. I added the final photograph to my magazine because it portrays a use of picture editing, which is a topic shown on my table of contents and throughout my magazine. So, it correlates to the overall audience and topic of my project.
